Linux Question
what version of linux do most companies use for there servers?
a co worker wants to learn linux but he wants to learn about the one that he will be running into in the working world. i told him SuSe professional, but i didnt know if that one was a well known, and widely used OS by companies.

I think Red hat is most common for enterprise servers.
It really depends on the company where I work we have Red hat, solaris, freebsd, and Fedora Core. |

I think Red Hat is popular and some companies, IBM I believe is one use Unix or a Unix based system.

SuSE is quite popular with many enterprise level companies. Since Novel took them over, it has been expanding rapidly. I would guess it is a closr race between RedHat and SuSE. The good thing is that they work in a simular fashon, so learning one will briing you great strides closer to learning the other.
