localhost login for Mandrake Linux 10.0
Help!! I've just installed Mandrake Linux 10.0, but it's prompting me for its default localhost login and its password..Is there anybody there who knows the default localhost login "name" and its password??? Thanks in advance...By the way, I'm sure that I have not set some login name and password for my installation..

I think you just need to put in your username and password.
I would go with "root" (minus the quotes) as my username and password to whatever it prompted you for during install. If it did not prompt you look through your documentation for the default password. Sometimes there is no password or its something like "root" HTH Shaticus |

During installation, you should have been prompted for a username and password. That's what it's asking for. But I suspect you were expecting to boot to a graphical login screen but instead are booting to a command line login. If that is the case, post back and I will go into more detail on what to do.
