You have to know the answer to this....

A while ago I came across a computer at the place where I work, It was running Mandrake 7.2 and had a really nice looking desktop, but what caught my eye the most was the fact that there was a screensaver running in the background, I think it was a snowing screensaver with a small santa that went across the screen. Here is the stuff I want to know;

1. How do I get a screensaver to load up automatically when I login to Enlightenment, Gnome and KDE? I know you can type in a command to start it but I want it to start as soon as I login and remain there the next time I login.

2. Does anyone know where I can get that snowing screensaver?

I've got a 800mhz cpu, so the comp can handle the screen saver.

Thank's alot in advance guys.

It's okay I've worked it out, it wasn't a screensaver but an actual program that runs in the root window called Xsnow, I think it's really cool and you guys should try it out, don't know what the download link is, but do a search on Xsnow.

One question, what would the shell script code be to make the program run at logon as a user and not root? at the moment I need to navigate to the directory where the executable file is and click on it there, but I want it to start automatically any ideas? thanks

P.s you might need the sgimath.h file to make xsnow work, luckily someone has kindly provided it on the board. Bye.

One other thing, I think the people on this board are really great, the way they help people out without claiming to be a guru in computer science. Bye.

Just one other thing.... kidding.
