Question Anyone use Konquerer as their Primary Browser?

I'm going to give it a shot... I've gotten kind of annoyed lately with FireFox and the way it handles animated graphics (ads).

Seems like Konquerer is a standard compliant browser (based off Netscape I believe). Just curious if other people have any negative/positive comments.

I use it all the time! Not just for web browsing either. It is a killer file manager, search tool, etc.

You do know that firefox is based off of Netscape also? Mozzilla is (was) the free =version of Netscape (way back when).

Is Konquerer based on the same engine? good question, I never really thought about it.

I actually ran into a couple of problems yesterday with online banking and service payment websites using Konquerer... worked fine in FireFox.

What version of KDE are you running? I'm using KDE 3.42 on Kubuntu 5.1.

Konqueror is a darn good file manager from my experience with the ability to split windows etc.

Its a decent web browser but other than supporting tabbed browsing it seems a bit basic for my needs. I use it occassionally if I have it open already but I use Firefox and Opera on Linux.

If it fits your needs go for it, its certainly handy and its well supported.
