Hey arix,
We need to know more info about your setup. Information such as if your modem is acting as a bridge (in which case you need a PPPOE client), or if your modem is acting as a router (in which the modem does all the PPPOE routing). If it's acting as a bridge, then you have to configure a PPPOE client such as Red Poets. I'm not sure what package comes with SuSE, but for RedHat, Slackware, and Mandrake, the command to use is "adsl-setup" without the quotes. If it's acting as a router, and if DHCP is enabled (most likely), then you should just be able to tell SuSE your Ethernet card needs DHCP turned on. At that point, it should grab an IP from the modem and connect with no further mods. Hope this helps, Mike |
