video on Mandrake 9.0

I've decided to try out Mandrake 9.0 on my server and am currently in the process of installing it. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to set the correct video card. At first I figured it wouldn't matter, but now I'm having second thoughts. My mobo is a Gigabyte 7vkml. I don't see any drivers for that type of video card in the Linux installer. Funny thing is that the installer shows up just fine in its VGA mode there. The default puts it at VESA, but when I tried that before it ended up crashing on loading KDE. Is there a way to load the proper drivers or am I gonna need to spend/waste the money to buy another video card?

Post your graphics card and system specs.
Also, mdk 9.0 is pretty old; you can freely download the most recent offering from mandrake/mandriva, mandriva 2006.
