I'm having some time difficulties in KDE,(Mandrake 8.0). If I boot into my KDE desktkop the time will be 4hrs slow, If I logout and then into Gnome the time is correct. Then If I reboot from KDE into Win98, Linux will reset my BIOS time and Windows will be 4hrs fast. I've read the "man hwclock" tried to reset the clock to GMT time but it's not cooperating, any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance

Mike, I had the same problem as you did on my first install of linux (setup to use GMT) but didn't find a fix for the problem. When I reformated and reinstalled linux the second time I choose to set the clock off of windows time and not GMT time and have not had any more problems.
