Linux PC to see XP PC with Lisa?

I was just wondering if it's possible to have a Linux machine see shares from an XP PC. I'm using lisa right now to have the XP machine see shares from Linux, but not the other way around. What's the best method to resolve this? Samba has always been tricky for me, but is that the best way to do this?

I'm a total rookie to Linux, but I had no problem getting into my Win2K box with Samba.

There's probably more than one way to do this but none are easier than setting up samba IMHO. Here's an article on using LISa to access windows shares you might find interesting:

I'm not that familiar with lisa but it was my impression that lisa was only used in a kde/linux environment to access windows remote shares, typically on a windows file server, much like network neighborhood in windows. I'm somewhat surprised to hear that you are using lisa on windows to access linux remote shares. Maybe I've misinterpreted your question.

Sorry, kilgore, I guess I did phrase it a little off. I'm using Lisa only on the Linux box. By using the IP address of the Linux machine I'm able to gain access to its shares through Windows, but for some reason not vice versa. I haven't even been able to use the Linux machine DNS name to browse the shares on Windows, but I'm working on that. I'm a total newbie when it comes to this stuff. Anyway, I'll try what it said on that pdf file.

Use the IP address of the Windows machine. That's what I did. Make sure the XP firewall allows file and print sharing.
