hello.i ran live ubuntu cd and cannot log onto internet.will this work only if you install the cd? i have a wireless network.

ok. so even though i did not install ubuntu onto the hard drive i should still be able to log onto the net? bear with me please,i am new to this.

If it works in Windows, the same settings should work in Ubuntu. Maybe print out a screenshot of your Windows settings and compare them to what you see in System > Administration > Network in Ubuntu.

I've tried the Ubuntu CD before and I managed to successfully log on to the internet without having to install anything. The network drivers are loaded at run time.
