VNC for Red Hat Enterprise 3
I have been attempting to use my windows 2000 computer to connect to a redhat enterprise 3 server via real vnc, but whenever I connect it only shows the shell instead of the gnome desktop. I am able to see the gnome desktop with no problem when using vnc to connect to a redhat 9 computer.
Is it posible to see a redhat enterprise 3 desktop from windows using real vnc? The instructions that I used to connect referenced redhat 4. |

VNC is VNC, regardless of the client computer. Are you sure you are specifying the correct ports when you connect from the Windows machine?
If the host and client are on the same network, you should be able to connect the same way. |

thanks for the input, I discovered that I had to delete the xterm line from the xstarup file.
