Boot Ubuntu from USB
I just downloaded the iso image from the Ubuntu website and tried something new. I have an external USB hard drive that is a Western Digital 80GB HDD. I then extracted the iso directly to the USB drive and whent into the BIOS and enabled "direct boot to USB" and I got an error message saying that windows caould not fin a system file of some sort. I then tried to boot from a Ubuntu CD that i made awhile ago and changed the boot order to CD/DVD drive first and same message poped up. For now I plan on putting Ubuntu on the entire external drive. Any suggestions or links to pages that would help is greatly appreciated. I am attempting this on my desktop in my sig. thanks
