I'm trying to get a Sun Sparcstation Voyager to boot, but I only have 56k internet access. Is there some type of boot up floppy that I can download? Also, whats a good price to ask for it if I put it on ebay? I know nothing about unix or linux, but I know this unit was pretty expensive and has a great flat panel monitor. The monitor hooks up to the unit through what looks just like a SCSI plug (the thin wide type) is there a way to use it on my PC? I would be greatful for any other helpful advice or tips. Thanks.

Hmm what OS are you trying to use on it?
I dont know what the value would be on the SPARC, but its a great machine, its a pity that you have decided to part with it. BTW: check out www.nudata.com and its catalog to see if there are any products that will allow u to use your sparc monitor. Or call the folks here: www.ultraspec.com and they will tell u about cabling options for using the MC36 monitors on PCs Last edited by Statica; 07-31-2001 at 08:16 AM. |

Give me an idea what you`d want for the voyager and any pics you might have.
Shame, I had Solaris 4.4 and was optimized for that style of equipment. Linux will run quite slowly.
