Linux conflicts with Wife
I seem to have started a rivalry by installing Linux,my wife hates it and plus shes not fast enough to catch LILO within the 5 seconds to select it to load windows. I went into lilo.conf and tried to increase the time to 10 or 15 seconds but it did'nt work, anybody know where this can be done from ? Thanks in advance

You have to update lilo.conf when you edit it. You can do so by running the lilo at the prompt provided that lilo is in your path, otherwise run /sbin/lilo.

Mike: what mairving means is .. after you edit /etc/lilo.conf to increase the time for the lilo prompt
you must run (by entering) the following: /sbin/lilo If not use linuxconf within your GUI and it will walk you through the steps. |
