Mac OSX on Amd

Hi all,

This may seem a stupid question but i would like to know...

Will the new Mac OSX work on a Amd processor or does it definatly have to be a intel processor?

I like Mac.

Thanks

I would think that Apple would have taken necessary precautions to keep OSX on Intel Core Duo processors only. As Measus mentioned, I would leave it to hacking attempts by individual users which would have violated the OSX's EULA.

Not only does it have to be a Core Duo, it has to be one on an Apple motherboard in an Apple computer. They put a TPM chip on their motherboards that the OS looks for when booting, and it doesn't boot if the chip isn't there.

I imagine it'll be possible one day. I'm sure someone is working on it.
