Ubuntu
i want to download ubuntu and i wanted if u guys kneww of a site that has a relatively fast server so i download it fast. i have fast internet and at ubuntu.com i get download speeds of 12k its going to take 15 hours to download is just to slow for me.

Use Bittorrent. You, of course, will have to have a bittorrent client (Google Azureus if you don't have one).

thx i download it in about a half hour
my download speed was average 450

ok i downloaded the ubuntu ISO file now can i just burn it to a cd and im good to go or is there a special way of buring it

PLz help me
i got it to burn to a cd and i got it to boot from the CD but i want to run the os fromt the CD to see what ubuntu is like. when i get to the menu i can install in text mode, oem or server and i just want to run the os off the CD how do i do that
plz help |
