Hi nightsky,

Webdev.net seems to be having a problem with their DNS server now, so the site is down, but you can still view it by going to this Google search and click the Cached link next to the URL. Just save it to your harddrive for future reference, or until the site comes back up. Hope that helps.

Thanks DrZaius

I really like that site webdev.net hope they can get themselves up and running again. Another Question:Is there a way to block those video advertisings that popup when u click on some websites? The ads come on w/o u even noticing till u goto close the site I originally chose to view. I really don't appreciate porn ads poping up whn i goto view totally unrealted content sites. I personally don't have anything against commercial sex - just don't believe society ought to be bombarded w/it, it cheats our children too.

nightsky,

I myself don't use any popup-killer programs, but several have been suggested in this older thread. I'm sure others have their favorites and will add their recommendations. Hope that helps.

Nightsky, did you get the chance to check out the link I put in?
I can vouch that it works. I had it on my two previous computers and it worked like a dream. I haven't put it on this one yet, because of laziness.

I just downloaded adterminator to cd and the ran it using coffecup free zip software creating a hosts folder in C:\WINDOWS\HOSTS and it setup in a dos window - i hit enter and rebooted. I went to the adterminator site and click on the URL site to test it but the page cld not be displayed. Is that the test and if the page can not be displayed thtat means Hosts is working? Will see, I still got and add for a cam when I clicked on the link for this thread frm my pcmech email notice for responses. Let me know what to expect. Thanks

If the page would not display, that means it works. However, some sites have learned to bypass the ad terminator program and you will still get some ads. The best way to check is to surf the net for a while. With some sites you will see at the bottom of the window, "page done, but with some errors" That is normal. What happened was the page failed to load ads.

So what does http 1.1 mean? That u don't have to use an FTP App to upload folders for your website? Thanks
