FC6 network
Heya all,
I just installed Fedora Core 6 on my computer. The next step is to get my wireless working. I did find madwifi online. I got it working to a point. The wireless network I work on is WPA. I installed and configure madwifi and wpa_supplicant. It connects fine and such. I can access the router's ip and admin panel via the web browser. But the problem is I cannot get to internet pages. The lan wireless works seeing as I can connect to the linux box via putty and Tightvnc. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thank you |

Heya thanks for the info.
I am new to linux and I am not sure on how to reconfigure my Default gateway. Any chance of getting a quick walk through? Thank you. |

im not really familar with linux either.
look here: opening System settings > Network or possibly Network Device Control. This will display all detected network interface cards. Select your card and then choose edit or configure. From there you can configure static or DHCP for your network. |

Sadly it is not listed under the network menu as activated. The system in which it was install i think was purely emulation so I am not sure on this. I will keep trying, thank you though.
EDIT: Fixed it. I was setting a static ip instead of using a dynamic one, oops ![]() Thanks for the help Last edited by rfleming; 11-24-2006 at 12:37 AM. |
