linux dvd catalog/database

i am runnig ubuntu and i have a very large dvd collection that i would like to put into a database. i googled and found Filmshelf, but every site i found said the linux version had to be downloaded from their site, which as far as i can tell, no longer exists.

so, with that i come here, hoping someone here knows of a good dvd cataloging software. any help is appreciated

I haven't used it but I saw an article on a program called GCstar which looks promising:

http://www.gcstar.org/

and:

There are debian packages for it so it should be readily available for ubuntu.

i will definitely take a look at it. i know i promised results on gcstar, but i haven't had a lot of time ot play with it yet with school.

from the little i have done with it, it is a very good program, and since it has versions for mac/windows/linux, it makes it really easy to share your library
