My computer doesnt detect my Ubuntu CD

When i boot my computer, it doesn't seem to bring up Ubuntu; it just goes straight to Windows XP. I configured my BIOS to make my CD drive the first priority upon boot, but it still just loads XP. Please help me!

Try booting to a different bootable CD - your Ubuntu CD may not be bootable or it may be defective.

You have to create a .iso image, not just create a data cd

Okay - and how did you create the CD from the ISO image, in exact detail, please?

Most modern CD burning software (i.e., Nero) has an option, or feature, to burn a CD from an image. Just burning the image file itself results in a coaster.

Done both many times !!

My computer doesnt detect my Ubuntu CD

Here Try this...

You can download the Infra Recorder, and make a ISO image on a blank CD...

This will work as a bootable installation Disk then...
