Kubuntu Question?

Right now on my computer I have Windows XP. I want to know if I can try Kubuntu without installing it on my computer. If I download the ISO image to a CD then boot from the CD will it have the option of using it as a live CD? Also if I can do this could you guys give me some tips on how to make it a little easier. I've already researched about Linux and know it is completely different from windows and is open source.

Download the kubuntu dvd and burn it and you can boot from the disk, it has pretty much all the features of kubuntu except you can't install everything. I did the same thing, tried it then when I was satisfied, I installed it.

The only thing you should worry about is after installing it, Grub may configure the wrong hd for the windows xp machine, it's easy to correct though.
