Suse: rpms dependacies error

When I run an rpm in the installer I get this message for them all.

ie. this is the error for pyhton 2.4 rpm

Installing python2.4-2.4-1pydotorg.i386[Local packages]
There are no installable providers of gdbm-devel for python2.4-2.4-1pydotorg.i386[Local packages]

This is what made me break away from Linux for 2 years, installing programs is a pain in the rear

looks like you need to install, gdbm-devel before python. Yes dependencies can be a royal pain, I prefer compiling from source, and using installpkg in Slackware
