serial modem with ubuntu help

I have a creative v.92 blaster modem and I'm trying to use it with a 6. something version of ubuntu. I have it plugged in right, it won't autodetect it, what should I do

I have done a atdt3333333 /dev/ttys0 and ttys1 and nothing happened and it said setserial was not a valid command. is there anyway I can see if the serial is reading the modem?

Send a message via MSN to rhysox
Login as root, type 'lspci'

Find the modem, paste me the location and the total line of the modem.
