Smile Windows XP and Suse Linux dual boot

I currently run Windows Me and Suse Linux 7.1 Pro on one HDD.I want to upgrade to Windows XP.Will upgrading cause Lilo to get over written in the MBR? My system is as stable as a rock(yes even Windows) now and I'm skittish about upgrading Windows.Should I be? Mark

Yes the MBR will be overwritten by XP, esp since it wont recognize Linux. Make yourself a bootdisk for Linux, then upgrade to XP. When you have successfully upgraded boot back to Linux with the bootdisk and then run Lilo.

Re: the upgrade .. IMO, XP will be much stabler than ME.
