Very stupid mistake
I changed the "search" name of my home directory. Now, when I try to log in, it says it can't find that directory and suggests using the root directory as my home directory. I click "ok," but then it tells me I don't have permissions to the root directory. So, I can't log in.
How do change the name of the directory it searches for or how do I log in as "root" to change it back? I am freaking out (if you couldn't tell) so quick and helpful responses are greatly appreciated. Sorry if that sounds rude. Thank you in advance. |
