Need help with Ubuntu!
I have a second computer that I want to install Ubuntu on. It's not hooked up to the internet, so I'vebeen trying to install it to a USB drive. That didn't work out as planned, so I downloaded the version for CD, and my CD RWs can't fit the OS. So I took out my DVD RWs and, I'm not sure it would work becuase, for some reason, the download speed drops horribly (it would take me 30 hours to download).
All I would like is a copy of Ubuntu that I can download and transfer to a DVD in an hour or less, and I'll be able to just pop it into the computer and install Linux. Can you guys shed some light on the problem? |

if you go to the official website i think they will send you a copy of Ubuntu in the mail.

http://nginyang.uvt.nl/ downloaded the DVD from there in about an hour or so at 8mb my connection allows.
Though as dogdude states you can purchase the DVD from several sites for a small fee. |
