Need Linux Compatable Modem Referrals Plz

Hav an Creative Modem Blaster Flash 56II ISA and want an ISA card based hardware Modem that works well w/Linux. I figure ISA b/c modems cnt go faster than communication lines provide for and why waste a pci slot. So what is the humm? I am so excited about setting up a linux sys and having an alternatives to ms. Did you all know that Free Linux distros take about 40hrs to downld frm ISO.org Anyone interested though if your hardware is supported by the distro can pickup cd sets w/gd bks from $25 to $60. depending on the bks. Thanks all

The only Linux machine I have running right now has no modem, just a "router only" distro running from a floppy on a 486. I used that Diamond modem in Red Hat 6.1 when I ran it, though, worked like a champ.

Yes, it is a hardware modem, and the fastest one I ever used. It even consistently outperformed my US Robotics Externals.

You should have no issues whatsoever installing any distro on a 440BX mobo.
