Linux equivalent of AVS Video Converter???

I'm in the process just now of converting my huge collection of DVD movies into DivX AVI format (using Windows AVS Video Converter) so I can have my entire collection of movies on my media center PC at the touch of a button.

I have a spare PC with Ubuntu Linux doing nothing at the mo. Is there a Linux program which will convert DVD movies to DivX AVI?

TIA.

It looks like handbrake is the only one that's supported under linux.
