Exclamation Ubuntu 9.04 + Flash + Firefox

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 from 8.10 and I think it's great except that when I run Firefox and the "Install missing plugins" notification pops up, I install the recommended plugins for flash content and now I can't view some flash content. Example, Youtube works fine but the HQ option doesn't work. Also flash content on hulu.com will not work. It's just a blank space when I try watching videos on Hulu. I tried uninstalling Firefox and installing the .deb package of adobe flash (it seemed to work when I had flash installed that way) but it doesn't work.

Trying going back a flash revision. The latest version may have issues.

Ok so after doing some research, I have found a solution.

- Downloaded the source of Firefox 3 from their website.
- Completely removed Firefox 3 using Synaptic Package Manager & removed the hidden Mozilla directory.
- Extracted the source folder to the /opt directory.
- Changed the shortcuts to the original Firefox 3 to point to the new Firefox 3 (in the /opt folder)
- Installed adobe flash 10 manually.

Flash applications now work flawlessly without any issues. I have heard that Firefox installs via package managers are a bit glitchy. Anyone have any issues with the Flash?

Yeah, I had the same issues running WinXP Pro SP3. I just tried to reinstall Flash and finally it worked.
