Installing Linus
I have a small EEE PC laptop with OS XP. I'm looking to install Linus on it. I have no CD only usb ports. What would be the best Linus to use and the procedures.
Thanks for your help Anthony

Do you mean a distribution of linux?
Well, if you just want to play around with it, I'd reccommend installing virtualbox and downloading a ubuntu ISO and installing it as a virtual machine. If you actually want to install a distribution of linux as your primary O/S, you will need a CD drive. You can get external CD drives from newegg.

You could install it from a flash drive, if your computer allows booting from a flash drive, but you would need someone to create the setup files on the flash drive first, and that would have to be someone with Linux already installed on a computer. If you want to install it as a virtual machine, I think you can do that with the free VMWare Player from the iso. So you would not need a CD player for that. You could just download the iso and use it from your hard disk.
