Linux Bible Study Software
kilgoretrout mentioned free Bible Study software that runs on Linux in one of the threads so I thought I would post this. Feel free to add if you are using something different. I have been using BibleDesktop for years. I am slowly switching to BibleTime. All applications in the link are free

What made you switch?
Is the RSV version included in any of these? Awesome avatar, btw.

ESV. I have been switching to Bible Time for the cut and paste (lazy, I use to be mostly command line) in Open Office Writer. I have to admit though, the only reason I use Wine in Linux is for Dake Reference Library that uses WordSearch.
In all reality, I use the book. I use the software as a guide for study, the reference (Dake) for life's challenges and help to guide others. If I am not reading a Bible, or spending time with my family, I am generally fixing, building, or contracting computers. Thank you for noticing the avatar. I could not have done it without him. |
