Write access to DVD drive's device node?
I have Mandrake 8.1.
have pioneer DVD-104S drive.
linked cdrom to dvd: ln -s /dev/cdrom /dev/dvd


How do I get write access to DVD drive's device node?

I tried chmod u+w dvd in /dev directory, but when i do ls -l dvd just has r and x permissions. Is it cause it is a link? I'm lost.
