/dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device) ??

I just installed Red Hat 7.2. I have no sound, and below is the information I get when I first boot and log in:

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

Can anyone help me to resolve this problem so that I can have sound?

Thank you very very much.
