Future of BeOs
Does anyone know what the future of BeOs is now that the developing company has been bought out by Palm, Inc.?

Wish there was a search for this forum a year or so back at least, back to the time when they had released BeOS as "OpenSource". With that bit of lousy fiasco, and after having wasted a blank CD on that crap, I had come out here and predicted that Be would go down, I cant say that I am happy that the most serious contended we had to the multimedia/Apple domain go down, but it gives me a bit of Schadenfreude to see how it came back to haunt them.

BeOs is one of my "play" systems. I have it installed and it works, but don't do much with it. Would hate to see it go down, not so much because it is all that great, but just because I would like to see LOTs of different systems out there, instead of just the Win Doze CeMeNt and Linux (which will have to go some to appeal to the general computing public). Guess I have, at one time or another, used just about everything that has come out, over the last 30 years or so.
