Invest in America ???

Just wondering if Linux would be a good investment and is there any Way to invest in the company??? Got excited after using the system and reading this article------> http://www.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=02/01/14/205204

there is no way to invest in linux, considering it isn't a company.
however, u can prolly invest in distro companies like slak or redhat or mandrake. redhat and SuSE are actually like the two biggest distros right now, i think. RH here in the US, and SuSE is real popular in Europe, though all the distros are pretty popular everywhere.
i'm just guesssing on some of this, so it might be completely wrong, but it sounds right.
