NICs

I got 3 3 com NICs in my linux pc, I have no clue which one is which, but I know two are identical, and I think one is simply an older modle(known working though). When I boot, I keep my Windows box up, and my Linux bo registers that it fails deteedting Eth0 and Eth1. I don't have any clue if I'm hooking any of these up right.

When I set them all up, I don't remeber exactly what was said since I mainly kept the defaults, which always had the top adress as 198.162.1.10(or something very close to that).

Any ideas on what I should do besides just mess around untill something happens? I only have 1 PCI video card, and 2 Linux PCs which need PCI videocards, but I've ben told that wouldn't be a problem since I can boot one and if the network connection is working, use it to monitor the other. How do I do such?

Logan
