How do I get mdm working both in Slack8 and Win98?

Hello Statica,
Dualboot Slackware8 and win98SE. ISA PnPray Creative Modem Blaster56 FlashII - DI5601-1. In win mdm is set for com3 IRQ5 and in Slack whn I dmesg|grep ttyS0
-> /dev/ttyS0 at 0x03f8 (irq=4) is a 16550A
/dev/ttyS1 at 0x02f8 (irq=3) is a 16550A
/dev/ttyS2 at 0x03e8 (irq=4) is a 16550A
Y can't I set the modem to irq5 in Slackware8? How can I run pnp in Slackware8? I did install pnp utilities for slackware8. Finally, if I must turn pnp off on the mdm crd and change jumpers for comport how will I set it up to run in win98?
What comport shld I set the jumper for? Do I have to change the IRQ myself? If so how? Thanks
