changing monitors in Linux Mandrake
I have Linux Mandrake installed. I remember setting the type of monitor to certain monitor during installation. However, I just switched the monitor to a different one, and would like to set the monitor setting correctly.
How do I change the type of monitor I am using in Linux Mandrake 8.1?? Thank you very much. slim |

There are several ways you can do this.
The easiest way is to use DrakConf. Selectable via the gui menu or on a command shell. If you can't get to the gui, I believe that DrakConf will default to text mode. Not sure with this, haven't been using my linux box for half a year now. You can also use the XConfigurator but this is a bit riskier since it is like reconfiguring the whole XServer all over again. But this will wokr in text mode. Hope this helps. |
