Do you mean you Downloaded the floppy image of QNx or if you trie to copy something from Within QNX to a floppy -? If it's the first one then you have a corrupted image - download it again
or the floppy drive of yours has dirty reading heads. When mounting press SPACE BAR and select non UDMA for the system..to load.. Oh BTW here are only very few who use QNX I guess - so if you made your post may be answered somewhat slow as QNX isn't known that good.. OH BTW QNX will not install on computers where EZ drives are found -.. anyway let me know..

Thanks for the reply
I know that when I mount a floppy as a dos floppy,I can cp files to it
and retrieve. But when I use the fdformat command, then dinit, then mount to the same place as before that I know worked,I keep getting corrupt file system. So I guess what I was asking,Is it possible to install the qnx file system on a floppy and get rid of the fat system already on the floppy.I dont know that much yet on this stuff, but found in linux that they actually have a command mkfs that will make the file system on a floppy, even thou I havent tried it.I thank you for answering my post,as I thought that there wasnt anyone else except me trying to learn qnx.I am also looking for good sites to help me learn it.Thanks mike |

OK - Start QNX - then go to HELP after the help screen has opened you will see two icons in the middle placed in the upper part of the screen - one looks like a notepad Icon - click on it select F and then read on - you will find detailed information on the subject..
hth otherwise post back. |
