ok, after debating the subject with myself i have decided to try Linux Mandrake once again. I have XP Pro installed and 2000 Server on the other (smaller) hard drive. How can I install mandrake over my exsising 2000 installation?
I'm going to download the ISOs from a ftp server because Mandrake is distrobuted freely. Last time I tried linux I downloaded the ISO of Madrake 8.1 from a fast ftp and burned it. WHen I got to CD2 it was too big and I took a file out, then after install I couldn't get into KDE, just had the command prompt. Has this happened to you? If not how do YOU guys burn linux? Is this even the easiest version of linux to use? Last edited by KronoLeginaire; 02-26-2002 at 02:31 PM. |

hmmm? I just downloaded 3 three Mandrake CDs of an FTP and burned them with no problems. This is 8.1. I'd just completely wipe the drive you want it on, then let the mandy instaler do its thing.
