internet service to try a dialup connection

I have a linux box that I am using to learn it,and have aol
on this windows machine.I would like to atleast try a connection
that I made up on the linux box,but aol doesnt support linux.
Is there a number that someone could try to atleast try the setup
that I made.I am not going to pay for two isps and my son loves
aol.frustrating also to download stuff,copy,then transfer to other
machine.Thanks mike
