sound Blaster Live! Player 5.1 under Linux
Does any know of any drivers available for this card for linux? I have searched the creative site with no luck?

Your card should work with Linux. If you are using a recent distro, it should be recognized.

Hi MSIuser,
I've chatted with you in another forum and if I remember right you are going to install Mandy 8.2. That distro has a driver for your sound card built in. I know that for a fact because I just installed that card in my wife's computer. freezinbutt |

Yeah you have been. That's great news! Thanks! All I need now is to wait on my download finishing. Only a wee 30 odd hrs to go!
 Anyone out there with Mandy 8.2 on CD and wouldn't mind posting it out to a newbie in the Linux world who lives in the UK?I'm looking at the mo at downloading drivers so I'm wondering if there are such drivers as VIA 4in1 drivers for Linux? I'm about to head over to the VIA site, but just as a point of interest and if the answer is no can anyone explain? |
