RAID controller

Last time I tried to install Mandrake on my PC, it didn't get along to well. I think it was because I didn't low-level format the drive first.

Anyways, I want to set up a dual, maybe even tripple boot between Win2k, Win98, and Mandrake 8.2(or 8.0, one of the two). The problem is getting the on-board RAID controller recognized by Linux. What should I do?

TIA, Logan

Newer hardware can sometimes be interesting to find support for, unless you're the type that enjoys compiling kernels (I don't ) just for the heck of it, have you looked at redhat's site, in the supported hardware? I've never tried setting up RAID before, But I know a lot of times I've had to jump between Mandrake and RH, for hardware support on something new.
