Hey everyone, I'm somewhat new to Linux and I have an old Pentium 133 so I'm trying to set it up with Coyote Linux for a firewall/router for my other computers. Anyways one of my NICs isn't working properly, it's a SMC EtherPower Combo 10Mbit card and I looked under the supported modules for it and I noticed it needs tulip.c. I was wondering how I can compile it for my SMC card. When I connect it to my cable connection it says "Media is TP" and I was wondering what that meant. It will be set up as eth1 and connected directly to my cable modem ( I have RCN) and my eth0 card is an Intel Etherexpress 16 and that works fine. I get Local Up: Yes, Internet Up: No. I was also wondering if I needed a 10/100 card because I have RCN, or will a 10mbit card work too? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

I did a little searching. looks like there were variants to this combo card. Some people were even having problems getting it to use the correct port RJ instead of BNC. I know there are variants to tulip also. I am guessing this is an old ISA card. Unless your 'searches' prove better than mine, or you're good at C, I'd opt. for a newer, better supported card.
