Um....Lost something important (the desktop)

I dont know whats happened, but i havnt got a desktop anymore, just a blue screen
Cant right click on it either

Anyone have any ideas, it happened after a bit of a crash - a porgram must of stop respondinf or something

(im on latest redhat)

If your using gnome, sometimes the desktop is handled by nautilus, the file manager, so sometimes upon login you have to open nautilus before the desktop appears.
