Silly question but nessesary
Okay this one is gonna sound a lil strange,
I can install packages easily in the shell (blindfolded and one hand behind my back) now on my linux box, but if i want to uninstall them how do i go about it? Like i said i no it sounds silly, and probably very obvious but i need to knnow :-) |

If you are referring to rpm packages the command is: rpm -e "name".rpm
If you do not know all of the functions of a command you can always type: man "command" This will bring up a text explaining the command. Last edited by jackjones; 07-23-2002 at 04:17 AM. |

how do you configure it to do that? I always have to add the .rpm!

When adding .rpm I receive an error message:
error: package XXXX.rpm is not installed |
