how to install WC3 in mac os x 10?
a good friend of mine recently bought a mac, its one of those
half balls with a flat screen on top (i believe imac, i never used mac myself before) It runs mac os x 10.1.2. he purchased warcraft 3 but when he puts the cd in the drive and tries to double click on one of the install files (install, autorun, ...) he gets a box that asks him what program to open that file type with (i dont know the exact terms, its a dutch version) . can anyone give me a simple explanation on how to start the installer and the game? many thanx in advance pc i know its a bit strange to ask for mac info at PCmech, but i dont really know another place where i could ask this. (ive been helped out here MANY times ) |

I just installed WC3 on my iBook, all you need to do is drag the WC 3 folder to where you want it on the HDD, as with many OSX apps, you don't need to run an installer (office v. x, PS7, etc...) I belive it also tells you this in the folder for the CD.
Also, it wouldn't kill him to upgrade to OS 10.1.5
