copy files Dos to Linux
hi;
I'm installing linux on my Win machine in a 10 g partition on 30g drive, (windows can't see the linux, and visa versa) I need to update the video drivers to configure the GUI....OK I downloaded them to a folder in windows.........how can I get them to the linux drive.......if I mount the Dos partitions o the linux "drive" will I be able to access the files ....or do I put them on a floppy..... well anyway can anybody tell me how to get the driver into linux TIA.... |

you need to mount the dos partitions in linux. you should be able to read/write files on dos partition from linux. If you mounted a floppy drive, you could put the files on a disk from windows and access them from linux.

Pretty much as TMAN said, however, if this is a recent version of Mandrake, you may find the windows partition is already mounted to a subdirectory in the /mnt directory. (Some versions of linux mount those win partitions for you already)
