how in the world can I get my AIW tv tuner feature to work in mandrake 8.0 or slack 8.0?

oh I simply used XawTV since it wasn't nearly as picky as the others. It's nice and much faster than WebTV for Windows. Too bad it doesn't have interactive tv or guide plus... not that I ever used them.

Make sure you have the right encoding: NTSC for North and South america, PAL for Europe, SECAM for Japan Australia and New Zealand if I'm not mistaken. Have you set any channels yet? Do you know that you can receive a good signal- ie do you have a good antenna hooked up and have you tried it in maybe windows?
