Can linux do this for me?

Hi. Can I just concisely ask these questions:
a) What is the linux equivalent of Winamp? (Ie, the commonly acknowledged best freeware product.)
b) What is the linux equivalent of PowerDVD? (Same)
c) What is the linux equivalent of CDex?

I'm the #1 linux newb so chill if those are stupid questions!

There's a server that has some linux multimedia prgs. I do agree XMMS is pretty much 'the' mp3 player. DVD stuff is going to be rough since much linux soft is gpl or similar, and dvds use their own encryption.

Thanks for the replies. Because I'm kinda an end-user and I'm currently in the sweet spot with my computer setup, I'll stick with W98SE for now. Thanks anyway - I'll look into linux again in a coupla months...

I suggest that instead of www.mplayer.org you go to mplayer. www.mplayerhq.hu is where sourceforge sends you. www.mplayer.org is linked to a different product.
