sendmail / webmail

can i use the sendmail prog on my redhat computer to give webmail to visitors of my site?

I offered the service when i was on windows and now i have moved to redhat i want to act as a mail server again, is it possible?

if sendmail isnt the way to go about it can someone tell me what is the best way

You can pretty much use sendmail for anything.... what language are you programming your site in?

the site is in html (with a lil cgi here and there)
Are there any programs / scripts out there that will stop me having to try and script my own?

There are a boatload... check google for scripting sites for what you specifically need, I generally write in PHP, and I've been doing so for awhile so I just write it myself and it takes me 10 minutes... but I might even have a few if you need them...

Try squirrelmail its the easiest to implement; most of the others require a DB.
